A small part of old Dhaka that includes Sadarghat, Ahsan manzil, Hindu Street, Curzon Hall, and some parts of Dhaka University depending on the day you select. Generally, on Friday and Saturday, we can cover more areas in the old Dhaka than on the weekdays.

Pick up from you place (Hotel/Residence)

Our guide and driver will pick you at 7 am from your hotel/residence and start driving for Old Dhaka immediately.

Dhaka University and its perimeter.

Visit Dhaka university area including Curzon hall, TSC are, Central Shahid minar and round within the Dhaka university perimeter. The University of Dhaka is the oldest university in modern Bangladesh. It is the largest public research university with a student body of 33,000 and a faculty of 1,800 

Sadarghat River Station

Continue driving to Sadarghat River Station. This is the main river port in Dhaka and one of the largest river stations in South Asia. Passenger ferries leave for southern part of Bangladesh from here to all over the absolute southern region of Bangladesh.

Unforgettable Boat Ride at Buriganga River.

Enjoy a boat ride on a row boat at Dhaka’s busy Buriganga river. This river is a live and vibrant place full of activities. You’ll see hundreds of row boats crossing people in two sides of the river, small vendors selling goods on their boats, passenger and cargo ferries passing by.

Ahsan Manzil (Also known as Pink Palace).

Visit Ahsan Manzil (Pink Palace) – a beautiful and well-maintained palace from the colonial period which was home of the most influential family in Dhaka. This is another most popular tourist place in Dhaka city.

Walking through Hindu Street

Walk on Hindu Street (Shankharia Bazar). This is a unique street – the center of Hindu culture and community in Old Dhaka. Old buildings raised in both side of the street, which is full of jewelry shops, local musical instrument shops, Hindu bridal shops, kite shops, cookery shops, temples, rickshaws, and people continue walking till the end Tati bazar.

Lunch Break, Experience Local Authentic food

Lunch at a local restaurant or another option grave some packet lunch and have those in the car.

Welcome to Folk Arts and Crafts Museum

 Visit Sadar Bari – a beautiful rajbari (palace) built-in 1901 inside which is located the Folk Arts and Crafts Museum full of folk arts and handicrafts from the 17th century onwards followed by a visit to the adjacent new museum building of folk arts. 

Walking through Ruined City, Panam Nagar

Visit the ruined city Panam Nagar. Constructed between end of 18th century and beginning of the 19th century, this tiny settlement consists of a sole street, lined with a number of 50 mansions built by wealthy Hindu traders, unrestrained during the divider between India and Pakistan when the landowners fled to India. This is a highlight of Bangladesh Old Capital Tour.

End of the tour and Drop to your place.

 Heading back to Dhaka and drop to your hotel/residence. End of the tour.

What to ware ?

To show the repsect to the religious places, You are requested to wear modest cloths to enter the mosques included on the tour. It is not possible to visit the mosques wearing shorts. Women need to cover hair and arms. Also need to leave your shoes outside while visiting a mosque or a temple.

Pick-up time

The pick-up time will be 9.00 am on Fridays, Saturdays, and other govt. holidays, as there would be less traffic on the streets these days. For hotels in the southern part of Dhaka city, pickup time will always be at 9.00 am.

Regarding Meals.

Lunch will be served at local restaurant to have a test of our local food. In the old Dhaka there are wide range of local food offered amongst Biriani is one of the top rated foods that tourists like to have but you will be offered other type of food also. 

Walking at Old Dhaka

You need to be prepared mentally to walk a lot because of being stopped on the same place for a long time without even moving due to the incredible traffic in Dhaka when everything stops in every intersection. And wear shoes accordingly.
