This tour will provide an experience of discovering multiple buildings in Bangladesh that won the Aga Khan Prize for Architecture: the National Assembly building and the other one Bait-ur-Rouf mosque. The famous architect, Louis Kahn, designed The National Assembly building which is one of the largest legislative complexes in the world at this moment and a wonder of architecture worldwide. During our visit to and around the National Assembly building, including the crescent lake and the MP Inn, you are invited to have lunch in the VIP cafeteria of the National Assembly building before heading out. towards the Bait-ur-Rouf mosque.

Pick up and start the tour.

We will come to pick you from your nominated place and start moving toward Bait-ur-Rouf Mosque. Only on the working days of the week, this tour is available and most importantly to be on time at the parliament building we suggest you start this tour at 8.30 am in the morning.

Visit Baitur Rauf Jame Mosque, A beautiful modern architecture.

In one hour we will be reaching at Bait-ur-Rouf Mosque, and we will stay there for 30 mins and visit the a very latest architecture in that area wined the Aga Khan Award (video) for Architecture, designed by Marina Tabassum, one of the best architects in Bangladesh.

Start journey for parliament building

We will be leaving the mosque premises at around 10.00 am and starting our journey toward the parliament Building.

Reaching at Parliament Building

We will be reaching at the parliament building by this time and visit from outside and walk a bit by the side walkway by the MP hostel area opposite of Chandrima Uddan. We will get of the car to visit the parliament building far from north and south side this will take about 30 mins

Arrival at the main security post for permission to get inside the main building.

At the main security gate, which is about 80 meters away from the main entrance of the main building where our vehicle and number of people will be checked and will allow us to enter our car up to the entrance of the parliament building.

There will be a delegation team from the visit cell who will receive us from the entrance of the main building with a security team. Here at this point, our guide/academic will brief you in detail about the parliament building and its features. After this, we will enter the parliament building. [ Please read the note section on what you can’t carry inside the parliament building.]

Inspiration of modern architecture.

Visit the exclusive interior area of the National Assembly Building. We will discover every major part of this superstructure, including the library, assembly hall, and prayer hall. During this visit inside the parliament building, we might have some tea and coffee from the parliament cafeteria and take lunch outside the parliament building at any local restaurant. 

Return journey to Gulshan

Drop at the hotel/your residence at around 5 pm at your nominated place and say goodbye thanking for taking our service. End of the tour.

What to ware ?

As Bangladesh is a majority Muslim country and has a conservative attitude toward dress. In this regard, a modest dress is always welcomed. In the metropolitan cities western dress will not be any problem but in the rural area better to be a bit modestly dressed to receive respect from the locals.

What you can’t carry with you.

We are not allowed to carry any kinds of electronics devices, firearms, books, bags and any drinks other than water inside the parliament building. We can leave all our belongings and cameras in the vehicle right before the parliament house’s main entrance/ security check post, and you can take photographs after coming back from inside of the building.
